Engineers
Without Borders Bangladesh is proud to be a partner of World Urban
Campaign (WUC).
The
World Urban Campaign (WUC) is an advocacy and partnership platform to raise
awareness about positive urban change in order to achieve green, productive,
safe, healthy, inclusive, and well planned cities. Its goal is to place the
Urban Agenda at the highest level in development policies. It is coordinated by
UN-Habitat and driven by a large number of committed partners - currently 136
partners and networks - from around the world.
Engineers
Without Borders Bangladesh will work jointly to develop the cities
present condition of Bangladesh. To improve the slum living life style, cities water
supplied system, proper sanitation condition and small scale of infrastructure
also education. Those are needed for the proper healthy cities that we dreamt.
Implementing
the proper partnership Engineers Without Borders Bangladesh contribute
on to achieved the SDGs ambitious and Goal.
The integrated and sustainable human settlement planning and
management also will be implemented by Engineers Without Borders
Bangladesh with providing the humanitarian engineering as the basic need of human.
Bangladesh is firstly
urbanized country in Asia zone, it has some demand of uncontrolled and
unplanned urban growth since last few decades. For the economic, cultural and
administrative centralization the capital city, Dhaka and also the other cities
of Bangladesh are facing some serious urban problems. EWB's urban thinker bring
the ideas to develop the overall life style of the people's.
EWB Bangladesh always
had a distinctive approach from the early days of simplicity to today’s complex
nature of issues. EWB assists efforts and builds capacities of peoples of civil
society. EWB’s also vision is a city without poverty and injustice in which
every person enjoys their right to a life with dignity with all basic need.
EWB-Bangladesh
is to partner with disadvantaged communities to improve their quality of life
through implementation of sustainable engineering projects.
