Can you imagine not having a toilet? One in three people globally do not have access to a toilet and this is reflected in high infant mortality rates, poor health, entrenched poverty and low school attendance. Preventable diarrhoea remains the second biggest killer of children under five years old worldwide and also in Bangladesh.

Toilets and sanitation are about public health – the steps will be saved more lives than any other invention by reducing incidences of communicable disease.
Toilets also provide a level of privacy and dignity and adequate sanitation and encourage children to attend school, particularly for adolescent girls in slum dwellers.
